Yep, that was my take. This time last year we were apparently touting a big bag of dosh all round Europe in our failed attempts to buy a half decent striker. One year on, we've got no money so are getting the half dead from Everton. What's that all about? |

When Harry said there was a secret player I got a bit excited, but I thought Nelsen was a wind up. If he turns out to be anything like Naybet or Gallas then it'll be good. Hopefully we don't need to use him much. Average defender at best and that's being kind King, Kaboul and Gallas should always be considered first. Dawson after that and then Nelsen. Hopefully Caulker is a regular at Spurs soon enough. Him and Kaboul could be our future pairing |

I'm as mystified as you over the Nelson transfer but as Miker says you've got to give the player a chance. People slagged Parker and Gallas and they've both worked out well. Our league position doesn't lie, okay individuals have contributed goals but the squad as a whole has enabled us to shoot up the table and stay there. |

Parker has worked out well, still don't think he's better than Sandro in that position, but I didn't want him either  Gallas has been shit. One good game against the Goons does not excuse his shitness, terrible purchase on the whole. There was and have been much better options. Ryan Nelson? |

I think the doubters are justified, Nelson couldn't get a game for Blackburn. Shouldn't our aspirations be slightly higher than an ageing injury prone CB who can't get a game for Blackburn? When we were linked with Samba some people said he wasn't good enough for us, but at least he is their stand out player with a few seasons left. People are entitled to voice their opinion on whether or not they approve of particular purchases, these statements will be proved right or wrong in time. What's the problem? |

experianced players tend to work better as subs because they know their limitations but often it does not play out that way because as you point out their actual level is too low, they do ok in the average team but unlike younger players there is no way they grow another level due to the higher level around them |

If we can get him fit he could be a decent addition. Can play upfront alone which will hopefully give Adebayor a kick up the arse. I have my doubts we will get much out of him though. |

there are a lot of games still left in the season and Pav was useless, he is the 4th striker option anyhow with Ade, vdv and Defoe in front of him, I just hope we can stop the shit of moving vdv around, I really don't get why Defoe is not just moved to the right wing if we are short there, he can join up with Ade from there as well, especialy if Bale plays from the left |
