Bill Nicholson once said something like he didn't want a player that was too studious.

He has been captain of every team on which he's played. Might be useful.

Does anyone else get the impression that the club hasnt got that much money at the moment?

Hence the signings of Saha and Nelson. I think its either one of two things, we are concentrating on taking a hit over the new stadium development and construction or we are unsure of who our manager will be after the Euros and therefore are not willing to lay out £18 million for the likes of Remy??

WHL capacity of 33k may have something to do with it. Build a new bloody stadium!

Yeah, thats my point. If we are getting a new stadium even with the help of some government funding we are probably going to have to find a few 100 million to subsidise the rest of the development.

Therefore we simply cant keep laying out £15-18 million here and there!?!?!

Think there's something in that. However surely it would have been cheaper not to do any business at all instead of bring in retarded crocked shit players?

I was bemoaning the signings of Saha to a couple of mates who support Chelski and Yanited and they honestly thought it was a shrewd bit of business by us???

The genuinely wernt taking the piss either. They said that with the amout of service he'd receive at Spurs, albeit if he stays fit, could see Saha bang in a lot of goals.

The Nelson thing I cant really understand though??

Problem with Saha is that he's rarely fit. But this season he's played a lot of games and scored 1 solitary goal. That's nothing to do with service - Darrent Bent is still scoring well at Villa and they sold all their attacking players. I'd love the old Saha from Fulham, he was quality. But even at United he wasn't that great, the good player has long gone. We'll see though.

Nelson is madness. He's never even been remotely a good defender. Plus he's injured?

Something wrong here

I said something similar recently, think Levy wants to know for sure we're in the CL before spending some cash what with the stadium issue. Mind you we did have a large bid for Remy turned down so we can't be that hard up

Get rid of shite in the summer and i'm sure Levy will delve into the kitty bag  We really do have a quite a few players/wages to get off the books
