Just watching this documentary.....the biggest load of bollocks I think I have ever sat through... There is very little problem within a club of a player coming out....this issue is 1) The Media being twats about it and 2) Agents getting shitty and worried it will cost them money. Justin Fashanu was not given shit for being gay...he was given shit for being a twat about it. This journalist should be embaressed by this shit she has put together. |

Didn't watch the programme but read an article last week about it. I agree. I bet 99% of team mates and opponents don't think it is a big deal at all. The media make it a big deal and then make a fuss about people making it a big deal. If someone is gay it doesn't affect their footballing ability so why would their transfer value drop? |

it does affect their image I guess, plenty of artist pretend for years to be straight because of their target audiance and sure there are plenty conservatives in managing jobs who might not be too eager. Society of course has changed plenty over the years but it is a world wide market as well, how eager are Cities arab owners signing gays or the Russians (they beat the crap out of anybody who tries to do a gay priden event in the east) |

The shock in her face when she realised her Dad made homophobic comments on tv about Justin. Properly pissed on her cornflakes! She was desperate to get a player to come out it was cringe worthy. I can only imagine her pitch.... I'm going to make a few quid off the back of my black, gay uncle who then committed suicide. I will do this by begging to talk to footballers, constantly get knocked back by big names, then finally settle for Joey Gobshite Barton.
